On behalf of the Board of Trustees, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Delta University for Science and Technology. Nationally recognized for both academic quality and value, DU is a science- and technology-oriented private university that maintains a strong commitment to teaching, student success, and research. It is characterized by high academic standards, a culture of collaboration, team spirit, and a competitive drive to excellence.
Founded in Gamasa City in 2006, DU is the first private university in the Delta region to fulfill students’ hopes to obtain higher educational degrees from Egypt; saving a lot of suffering while providing highest academic standards. All scientific degrees and certificates offered by the university are granted the equivalent of graduate degrees at other universities in Egypt and conducted in English language to facilitate the exchange of students with international universities, and then world labor markets. The board of trustees at DU is a clear image that reflects our unique governance system; a system that provides both long-term stability and public accountability.
The Board’s role is to govern through establishment of policies that ensure academic quality and freedom, sustain the university’s growth, and ensure efficient and effective administration through the Board’s Chair and the executive officers.
